## Belief

Every organization's capabilities are becoming software, built and operated by human and AI teams.

## Vision

A world where human and AI teams continuously engineer, execute, and improve every organizational capability.

## Mission

Build the Agent Operating System through which human and AI teams turn organizational work into Capabilities they can operate, improve, and own.

## Why Now

### Agents make custom software abundant.

Work that once required a dedicated engineering project can now be built quickly and specifically.

But abundance does not eliminate the need for rigor. You cannot vibe-code organizational software into production.

That is the heart of **The Agent Engineering Divide** — the gap between the people who understand the work and the people who can turn it into reliable Agent software.

JoyStream closes that divide.

**The Agent Engineering Divide**

- **They understand the work:** Operations, finance, marketing, support, and the teams closest to the outcome.
- **They can engineer it reliably:** A smaller group with the expertise to turn that work into trustworthy Agent software.

## The JoyStream Way

### How we build matters as much as what we build.

- **01 — Our Work is Service:** Build things that make someone else's work and life better.
- **02 — Build with Joy:** Create extraordinary work through curiosity, craftsmanship, and flow—not fear.
- **03 — Embody Chardi Kala:** Meet uncertainty with optimism, resilience, and expansive energy.
- **04 — Earn Trust:** Tell the truth, keep promises, explain decisions, and build products worthy of confidence.
- **05 — Move Fast. Build to Last.:** Ship with urgency while making decisions that will still hold up years from now.
- **06 — Less, But Better.:** Remove complexity and build fewer things exceptionally well.

## The Founders

### Built across enterprise, open source, DevOps SaaS, and AI.

We first built together in enterprise software, open source, DevOps and SaaS. Our paths later diverged across product, platform, infrastructure, and AI—before coming back together at JoyStream.

- **Harpreet Singh** — Founder & CEO
- **Vivek Pandey** — Co-founder & CTO

### Journey

#### Together

**Sun Microsystems** (2000–2010 · Java Software) — Enterprise software and open source
Harpreet and Vivek first worked together at Sun Microsystems, helping build Java EE and GlassFish. Their work spanned enterprise applications, security, portability, interoperability, XML, and infrastructure designed to operate at global scale.

**CloudBees** (2010–2018/20) — From open source to enterprise SaaS
At CloudBees, they helped bring developer infrastructure into the enterprise. Harpreet led product for Enterprise Jenkins and a Jenkins-based cloud platform. Vivek built and operated the engineering systems behind services used by Fortune 500 companies.
Together, they helped scale CloudBees to unicorn status.

#### Diverged

**Atlassian** (2017–2019) — PLG and developer collaboration · Harpreet
Harpreet led Bitbucket Cloud, Atlassian's Git and CI/CD service, and helped deliver Atlassian's Open DevOps story—seeing firsthand how PLG software and open collaboration reshape the way teams build.

**Launchable** (2019–2025) — AI-native before the AI wave · Harpreet
Harpreet co-founded Launchable in 2019, an AI-native company that used proprietary machine-learning models to help engineering teams ship software faster without sacrificing trust.
Launchable was later acquired by CloudBees.

**Shipa** (2020–2022) — Platforms and Kubernetes delivery · Vivek
Vivek founded Shipa to simplify how organizations build, deliver, and operate applications on Kubernetes.
Shipa was acquired by Mirantis.

**Mirantis and IREN** (2022–2026) — Infrastructure at scale · Vivek
Vivek continued building and leading the platforms, infrastructure, and operational systems that large organizations depend on.
Mirantis was acquired by IREN.

#### Convergence

JoyStream brings these experiences together: enterprise rigor, open-source collaboration, SaaS and PLG, platform engineering, infrastructure at scale, and applied machine learning.

We are building the operating system for Organizational Agents.

We've spent our careers building the pieces. JoyStream is where they come together.
